Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. The reporter also reported on the presidential election in 2020 and efforts by two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Using her skills on the set, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company specialized in making documentary-style films for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and their 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
